About the IWRM Dashboard

The Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) project is funded by the Kingdom of Denmark and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and implemented by the Organization of Development Pioneers (ODP). This initiative was launched to address pressing water challenges in Libya and to empower communities—especially women and youth—in sustainable water governance.

The project began in the Municipality of Yefren in the Jabal Nafusa region, where water scarcity, aging infrastructure, and the impacts of climate change placed increasing pressure on local communities. Activities included assessments, capacity-building workshops, leadership training for women and youth, and the creation of digital learning resources to strengthen community engagement in water management.

As the project progressed, Yefren became a model for community-led water governance in Libya. One of the key objectives was to develop an online IWRM Dashboard, which now serves as a national Dashboard. The dashboard provides water related data, learning modules, resources, and tools to support NGOs, civil society organizations, local leaders, and decision-makers across the country.
